NOTICE

Written Exam. For Permission to Practice in the High Court Division on 02-01-2016
This is for information of all concerned that the next written examination for permission to practice in the High Court Division will be held on 02-01-2016 at 10:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M.
Advocates (having a valid Registration Card) who are entitled, under Article 21(1) and Rule 65A(i) of the Bar Council Order and Rules, 1972, to be permitted to practice in the High Court Division may apply in Prescribed Form along with a payment of fee of Tk.6000/- (i.e. permission fee of Tk.5000/- & examination fee of Tk.1000/-) in favor of “Bangladesh Bar Council” and Form fee of Tk.500/- in favour of “Bangladesh Bar Council Savings Account No. 34120306” and requisite papers (i.e. attested copies of valid Registration Card, all academic certificates and mark-sheets, a list of 10 writ, 5 civil & 10 criminal cases, 4 copies of passport-size recent attested photographs etc.)
Unsuccessful candidates of the previous written examination as well as of the last viva-voce examination whose written examination result stood cancelled as per the provision of Rule 65A(4) of the Bar Council Rules and also whose Registration Cards’ validity is yet unexpired or will remain unexpired on 02-01-2016, may also apply in prescribed form [Re-Appear Form]. Such application should be accompanied by a payment of Examination Fee of Tk.1,000/- (One thousand only) in favour of the “Bangladesh Bar Council” and Form Fee of Tk.300/- (three hundred taka) in favour of “Bangladesh Bar Council Savings Account No. 34120306” by separate Pay slip/Bank draft/Pay order and enclosed attested copy of valid Registration Card, three copies of passport size recent photographs (attested by the Senior or General Secretary/President of the concerned Bar) and a photocopy of admit card of the previous examination.
Unsuccessful candidates (of any of the previous High Court Permission Examinations) whose Registration Cards’ validity has expired or will expire on 02-01-2016 will require new Registration Card and those candidates shall have to apply in the prescribed Form along with a payment of fee of Tk.6000/- (i.e. permission fee of Tk.5000/- & examination fee of Tk.1000/-) in favour of “Bangladesh Bar Council” and Form fee of Tk.500/- in favour of “Bangladesh Bar Council Savings Account No. 34120306” and requisite papers (i.e. attested copies of valid Registration Card, all academic certificates and mark-sheets, a list of 10 writ, 5 civil & 10 criminal cases, 4 copies of passport-size recent attested photographs, copy of previous admit card/old registration card, etc.)


NO APPLICATION WILL BE ACCEPTED WITHOUT A COPY OF VALID REGISTRATION CARD
Admit Cards of the candidates will be delivered to them from the Bar Council Office in due course. For detailed rules of the examination candidates are advised to follow the latest version of “The Bangladesh Legal Practitioners and Bar Council Order and Rules, 1972” Book.
Last date of submission of application without late-fee: 19-11-2015
Last date of submission of application with a late-fee of Tk. 200/-: 26-11-2015
